What this stick pack is

This is a single-serve stick pack built from a three-ply laminate: PET for print and mechanical strength, NY for puncture resistance, and RCPP as the food-contact sealing layer. At 120 micron it holds its shape through filling and survives distribution without flex cracking. The structure blocks moisture vapour and oxygen, so hygroscopic powders do not cake and liquid fills do not lose aroma. Stick packs use less material per serving than a rigid container, which lowers pack weight and shipping cost.

Sizes are fully customizable. You set the length and width around your fill weight and your machine's sealing jaws. The same construction runs as pre-made packs or as rollstock film for vertical form-fill-seal stick-pack lines.

Eco options and barrier trade-off

For brands targeting recyclability, the PET/NY/RCPP build can be swapped for mono-material PE or a recyclable film. Mono-material PE streams better in PE recycling, but its moisture and oxygen barrier is lower than a foil-free multi-layer laminate. If your product is sensitive to oxygen or needs a long shelf life, a higher-barrier structure is the more honest choice. Biodegradable and compostable options are also available where the fill and storage conditions suit them.

All food-contact materials meet FDA and EU regulations for direct food contact. Certification belongs to the manufacturing partner, not to Clover.

Print finishes and customisation

Stick packs can be printed with your design and logo across matte, glossy, metallic or soft-touch finishes. Digital printing suits short runs and frequent artwork changes; rotogravure suits larger volumes where colour consistency across long runs matters.

You can specify a tear notch for clean opening and choose the seal configuration that matches your filling equipment. Every element, from length and width to material and finish, is set at order stage.

Where stick packs are used

Stick packs suit any product sold by the single serving. Common fills include instant coffee, honey, sugar, drink mixes, nutritional powders, vitamins, probiotics and condiments. They work for dry powders, liquids and semi-liquids, and are used across retail, foodservice and promotional sampling.

Because the pack is sealed on all sides, it protects each portion until the moment of use. That makes it practical for sachets that sit in a dispenser, a sampler box or a hotel tray.

Filling, sealing and lead times

Pre-made stick packs and rollstock film are both compatible with high-speed VFFS stick-pack machines. The RCPP sealing layer gives a reliable seal across the jaw temperature window your line runs at. If you are qualifying a new format, request stock samples to confirm filling, sealing and machine compatibility before committing to a print run.

Low-MOQ runs start at 100 pcs for pouches and 10 kg for film with digital printing; rotogravure starts at 10,000 pcs or 200 kg. Digital print lead time is 10-15 working days after artwork approval; rotogravure is 20-25 working days. Stock pouch samples are free; you cover courier only.
