Corner Spouted Stand Up Pouches with Handle for Liquid Detergent Packaging

What this pack is

This is a stand-up pouch with a spout fitted into the top corner rather than the centre of the top seal. The corner position lets the pouch empty at an angle, which suits thicker liquids such as detergent concentrates and fabric softeners. The pouch is built from a three-layer laminate: PET on the outside for print quality and scuff resistance, NY (nylon) in the middle for puncture and flex-crack resistance, and RCPP on the inside as the product-contact and heat-seal layer. At 120 micron, the structure is stiff enough to stand without support when filled, and flexible enough to squeeze. The nylon core is what keeps the film from cracking when the pouch is handled repeatedly or dropped, which matters for a pack that may live on a laundry shelf for months.

Features and closures

The spout is paired with an anti-disassembly cap. The cap is designed so it cannot be easily removed from the spout, and it seals tightly enough that the pouch can be stored upside down without leaking. That matters for a product sold as a refill or a bulk concentrate, where the pack may be laid on its side or inverted on a shelf. The widened self-supporting bottom gives the pouch a three-dimensional footprint, so it displays upright on a shelf and resists tipping. A carry handle is integrated into the top of the pouch, which makes a filled 1–3 litre pack easier to lift and pour. The pouch is printed with high-definition digital printing, which holds fine detail and gradients cleanly. Rotogravure printing is also available for larger runs.

Where it is used

The pack is intended for liquid detergents, fabric softeners and stain removers. Typical fill volumes range from 500 ml to 3 litres, depending on the pouch dimensions. The corner spout works well for viscous liquids that need a controlled pour, and the handle supports larger formats that would otherwise be awkward to lift. The same structure can be used for other household liquids where a resealable spout and a stable shelf presence are required.

Filling, sealing and handling

These pouches are filled through the spout on automated or semi-automatic spout-filling lines. The fitment is welded into the pouch during pouch making, so the filling line only needs to engage the spout, fill, and cap. The RCPP inner layer seals at standard heat-seal temperatures, and the nylon core gives the seal area enough strength to survive the fill weight and later handling. The trade-off with a PET/NY/RCPP laminate is that it is not a mono-material recyclable structure. It is chosen for barrier and toughness: the nylon resists flex cracking and the RCPP keeps the product from migrating through the seal. If recyclability is a priority, mono-material PE or PP structures are available, but they will not match the same barrier or puncture performance. Minimum order quantities start at 100 pouches for digitally printed runs and 10,000 pouches for rotogravure.
