Matte-finish vacuum-sealed tea bag in pure aluminium and PE laminate, 140 micron, with high oxygen and moisture barrier for extended freshness.
This is a vacuum-sealed pouch built from a matte oil, pure aluminium and PE laminate at 140 micron. The matte oil layer is a surface coating that gives the outer face a soft, non-reflective finish while protecting the print underneath. Pure aluminium sits at the core as the barrier layer. It blocks oxygen, moisture and light, which are the three main causes of stale or flat tea. The inner PE layer is the sealant: it melts under heat to form a strong, leak-free seam during vacuum sealing.
At 140 micron, the structure is stiff enough to hold its shape after vacuuming and to resist punctures from leaf edges or stacking. Thickness can be adjusted for different fill weights and vacuum levels. The material combination is also customizable: you can change the surface finish, the barrier layer or the sealant to match your product and your sealing equipment. The pouch is food-grade throughout, so it is suitable for direct contact with dry tea, coffee, snacks and similar products.
The back cover is designed with a simple, generous layout. The seal edges are reinforced to resist bursting under vacuum pressure and to stay firm during handling and transport. An easy-tear feature is built in, so the pack opens cleanly without scissors. The aluminium layer is described as aluminium-plated in the source, but the functional claim is the same: it isolates oxygen and keeps moisture out, which slows oxidation and preserves aroma.
Print quality is sharp. Patterns come out clear, colours are rich and the surface has a textured feel that supports premium positioning. Because the matte oil layer sits over the ink, the print does not glare under shop lights. You can customize size, thickness, material and colour. For tea, a common choice is a matte finish with a clean, low-clutter back panel. If you need a degassing valve for roasted coffee, a zipper for resealing, a tear notch, a window or a hang hole, those add-ons can be specified. Spouts, caps, carry handles and special shapes are also available across the wider range.
The factory lists coffee, snacks and tea as the main uses. For tea, this pouch suits loose-leaf blends, single-origin leaves, matcha, herbal infusions and tea bags that need protection from humidity and odour transfer. For coffee, the same structure works for whole bean and ground coffee, especially when a one-way valve is added to release CO2 without letting oxygen in. For snacks, it handles nuts, dried fruit, seeds, granola and similar dry goods where crunch and freshness matter.
Sizes are customizable, so the same pouch format can run from sample-size portions up to bulk packs. The 140 micron thickness is a good middle ground: heavy enough for a premium feel and vacuum integrity, light enough to keep material use reasonable. If you are moving from a thinner pouch, expect a stiffer pack that stands more upright on shelf and resists creasing during vacuum sealing.
This pouch is designed for vacuum sealing, so your filling line needs a vacuum chamber or a nozzle vacuum sealer that can handle the pack format. The PE sealant layer requires heat and pressure to form a reliable seam; sealing parameters should be set with your machine supplier and checked with a peel test. Because the aluminium layer is not stretchable, the pouch does not flex the way a pure film does. That stiffness helps it hold shape but means you should avoid overfilling or sharp product edges that could stress the seals.
The main trade-off is recyclability. A pure aluminium and PE laminate gives excellent oxygen and moisture barrier, which is what tea and coffee need for long shelf life. It is not a mono-material structure, so it will not flow through a PE or PP recycling stream. If recyclability is a priority, mono-material PE or PP options and compostable PLA/PBS structures are available in the wider range, but they typically offer lower barrier than aluminium. The right choice depends on your shelf-life target, your distribution conditions and your packaging waste goals.
MOQ depends on print method. Digital printing starts from 100 pcs for pouches or 10 kg for film, with lead time of 10-15 working days after artwork approval. Rotogravure printing starts from 10,000 pcs or 200 kg, with lead time of 20-25 working days. Free stock pouch samples are available; you pay courier only. Certifications belong to the manufacturing partner, not to Clover Packaging.
